A 20th Century Book Series on Ancient Chinese Culture
The book series has won a high reputation in the academic field and among readers after its publication. It is said that the series has triggered the recent craze in studies of Chinese culture. The most prominent features of the series are: 1)Careful selection: the books included in the series are very carefully chosen, being each masterpieces written by great masters in the field; 2)Careful emendation of each book is entrusted to indiviual editors as their sole duty regarding matters such as proof-reading, correcting of misused or misprinted characters and punctuation marks; 3)Proper length: the books chosen are all choice works with high academic value and considerable popularity.
