This course of lectures and labs is dedicated to the digital design by means of programmable logic devices (CPLD & FPGA) and their application in electromechanical systems. The emphasize is on the electrical drives control. It is well known that electrical drives control area is very aggressive sector in contemporary industry. It combines a great number of the latest state of the art achievements of power and control electronics. The sophisticated adaptive, fuzzy, neuro-fuzzy control algorithms as a rule require parallel processing of the control devices. That is why implementation of the programmable circuits in the modern control devices is a must.
