Brief Introduction
The book aims to cultivate students’ interest in professional basic theories and broaden their horizons, and gradually explains the basic theories and analysis methods of electromagnetic fields and electromagnetic waves. The book is divided into eight chapters, which enhance the readability of the book through appropriate introduction of cases and reading materials. This book uses physical concepts to explain theoretical results and mathematical derivations, in order to reduce the difficulty of learning it. The book also provides many examples and exercises to help readers gain a deeper understanding and mastery of the relevant knowledge points.
The book is a direct translation of our previously published books on electromagnetic fields and waves to meet the demand for bilingual teaching and learning textbooks in English. The book is widely used. It can be used as a professional textbook for undergraduate students majoring in science and engineering in universities. It can also be used as a reference book for engineering and technical personnel in the fields of electronic information engineering, electrical engineering, communication engineering, and control science and engineering.
